I was most impressed by her delivery of virtual classes — moving slowly through worked examples and repeating key ideas she sensed were challenging for us — a difficult task given she could not read the confusion in the room! The program is fantastic and Stephen was great in keeping me motivated and involved during the lectures and through my study plan. Stephen was also always available to answer my queries and gave me the confidence I needed to complete the exam. This was proclaimed passionately at least once per class by the inimitable Gerry Fahy. You cannot and must not underestimate the power of a positive attitude when tackling the ACCA exams. Even though all classes took place online, it often felt like you were actually in the classroom such was the level of engagement with the home audience. Real life examples from industry were used to bring life and colour to the course along with a good dose of humour! I found myself actually looking forward to class — they were a little ray of light and a chance to connect with your peers in the gloomy winter evenings of lockdown.

We also started tackling mock exams early in the course, which in my mind was the absolute best thing. There is definitely nothing better than practicing questions under timed exam conditions. In December I successfully passed the FR paper and both GerryFahy and PAT have been there for each and every one of the students, going literally above and beyond, being very knowledgeable whilst also being motivational and supportive. Tax is a subject that I previously struggled with. His ability to distill down an enormous subject in bite size pieces of information is remarkable. His unwavering enthusiasm and methodical approach makes even the most challenging of subject matters far more digestible than any online resource can provide. Whether it be through daily emails of confidence reaffirmation in the form of inspirational quotes, or through his ability to be on a first name basis with virtually all students by the end of lecture 1. You irrespective of if you are a licensed weapon holder are not allowed to attend your exam with a weapon. If you are found to have a weapon in your possession you will be excluded from the exam without any reimbursement. They are obliged to report any cases of irregularity or improper conduct to ACCA. They are also empowered to discontinue your exam if you are suspected of misconduct and to exclude you from the exam room. You may not engage in any improper conduct designed to assist you in your exam attempt or provide any improper assistance to any other exam entrant in their exam attempt. If you are sitting paper-based examinations, you are not permitted to remove either your candidate answer booklet s or your question paper from the exam room. All candidate answer booklets remain the property of ACCA. If you are taking a computer- based exam you are not permitted to remove any working papers issued to you. Despite much disruption globally as a result of the Covid pandemic, ACCA was able to run almost , exams across the vast majority of our markets worldwide. For the health and safety of our students, additional measures were implemented in line with relevant governmental advice. Again, ACCA implemented remote invigilation where local regulations did not permit in-centre exams, to enable many more students continue their ACCA journey despite the challenging conditions. In total, almost , students entered the December sitting and a total of 4, students completed their final exams to become ACCA affiliates. Despite the disruption, our students have made tremendous strides in their ACCA journeys in this latest exam session. Students have been supported in several ways including having access to a series of webinars and podcasts with expert tutors, highlighting important exam techniques and tips for success.
